Founded in the UK in 2000, YouGov is considered the pioneer of online market research. Our unique fully integrated online model has a well-documented and published track record illustrating the accuracy of our survey methods and in turn the quality of our client service work.
We can conduct research in all continents and our online model allows clients to get international results faster and more cost-effectively than traditional methods, with no compromise on quality. YouGov now has offices in the UK, US, Europe, the Middle East & North Africa and Asia.
The group operates an online panel of over 4 million respondents in 37 countries worldwide representing all ages, socio-economic groups and other demographic types which allows us to create nationally representative samples online and access both consumer and professional hard to reach groups.
From Siraj to YouGov
In 2005, YouGov entered the Middle East region and established our headquarters in Dubai, UAE. In the same year, we commenced operations in Baghdad, Iraq. In 2006, YouGov acquired the local qualitative research agency, Siraj Marketing Research & Consultancy.
The combination of YouGov’s quantitative online expertise and Siraj’s qualitative offline experience, meant that the new entity, YouGov Siraj, was positioned to provide a full service research offering to both regional and international clients across the Middle East region. In 2007, YouGov Siraj opened offices in Saudi Arabia (Jeddah, Riyadh and Dammam).
At the start of 2012, YouGov Siraj was rebranded to YouGov. Following the rebrand, YouGov continued to expand in 2013, opening offices in Egypt and Iraq. Since inception in 2005, YouGov’s proprietary panels in the Middle East, North Africa and South Asia have grown to over 500,000.
